I started collecting the 87 topps wood panel cards when I was growing up. My summer days consisted off wiffle ball home run derby in the park followed by hours of baseball card collecting afterwards with my neighbor friends across the street. So year topps 87 and beyond were my years of collecting. Funny how everything i put in cases back then are now commons. Don Mattingly was also my favorite Yankee and player at the time. My mom bought me the Topps Mattingly Rookie for my birthday. $30 back in the day.
